✨ The Story of The Barn Owl ✨

The Barn Owl first opened its doors in 2013 in downtown Stony Plain, sharing a space with another local business. From the very beginning, we embraced the country home décor style, creating a cozy and welcoming shop known for its carefully curated décor and gifts—special pieces to help your home tell its story.

As the years went on, we listened to our community and adapted. While we’ve said goodbye to the retail side of the business, we’re thrilled to have expanded into something bigger: Classes, Workshops, and Events.

Today, The Barn Owl isn't a store—it’s an experience. Whether you’re learning a new craft, discovering your inner artist, or just looking for a fun night out, we’re here to make it special.

Since January 2023, we’ve been offering creative workshops in:

The response has been incredible. From girls’ nights and family events to team-building evenings and private celebrations, our community has shown us how much they value a welcoming space to create, connect, and have fun. Guests often tell us how much they appreciate the extra touches we add to make every class feel personal and memorable.

A hidden gem in Stony Plain! Christmas in July craft night was amazing. Our group of 9 people was well taken care of by the owner Karla (along with the other group of 6 that was there). She made it even more fun and had amazing tips and tricks. Would definitely recommend. Also...
